An Afternoon in the Rose Garden: Parent Mingle & PSO Annual General Meeting

Dear Parents,

As we approach the conclusion of a wonderful academic year, we invite you for a special afternoon of connection and celebration.

Please join the PSO in the Rose Garden for our final gathering of the year.

This is a unique opportunity to connect with fellow parents across all divisions. Whether you are continuing with your current cohort or preparing for a 'Rising' transition into Middle, Upper, or High School, we look forward to fostering the friendships that make our community so vibrant.

It is also a moment to reflect on a year of community engagement. As part of our AGM (Annual General Meeting), we will share a brief address from the PSO President, honour the tireless efforts of our volunteers, and officially welcome the new PSO Board for 2026-27.

Event Highlights

1:30 PM onwards - Mingle & Refreshments: Connect with your current and future divisional cohorts.

2:00 PM - PSO Year-in-Review Presentation: A celebration of the 2025-26 school year, a look ahead to our 2026-27 initiatives, a report from the Treasurer, and the official voting-in of the new Board Members for next year.

We will conclude promptly at around 2:50 PM for parents to head to the Whole School Summer concert, which is scheduled at 3 PM.

Kindly RSVP to help us prepare and confirm catering arrangements.

We look forward to celebrating with you!

Voting & Governance:

The AGM serves as the formal platform to vote on PSO Board positions, including: President, Vice President, Treasurer, Divisional Liaisons (LS, MS, US, and HS), Social Events Liaison, CRG Liaison, Contribute Liaison, and Cheer Liaison, and new for 26-27 - Boarding Liaison, and Sports Liaison.

(Please note: PSO Representatives, Country Representatives, Event teams, and other non Board positions do not require a formal vote)

All parents are invited to participate, and you can cast your vote:

  • in person at the AGM, or

  • by Proxy: Via an anonymous online poll open from Friday, 29th May to Tuesday, 2nd June. Please look for the link in the newsletter and WhatsApp groups on the 29th.

Join the Team: Why Volunteer?

The PSO thrives on the diverse talents and time of our parent body. Whether you are looking for a leadership role on the PSO Board or a more fun social role without the ask to sit on Board meetings (such as Grade Rep, Country Rep, or Event Committees), there is a place for you.

Roles range from very small to very large; some are commitments for a short period of time, others for the entire academic year.

Volunteering is a wonderful way to build lasting friendships, connect with school stakeholders, and make a tangible contribution to your child’s school community.

Click on the links shared below to see the the different roles. We encourage you to consider how you might like to be involved!

The PSO and ACS are profoundly grateful for the time and heart our parents pour into this community. We truly couldn’t do it without you.

Many thanks & please let us know if you have any questions!

Talk to any of the PSO reps or Liaisons you know, or reach out to Katelyn (077 598 39482).
